Plenum water bypass and replace any of the vac lines with new hoses. Check all the fuel lines under there and replace as necessary. Could also delete the EGR system

There is info in the FAQ section. Doing the same job next week and will be doing all that.

It's a good idea to replace the the pcv valves and the 5 pcv pipes also. A couple of the pipes split when I was removing my plenum. You'll also need some silicone based liquid gasket for the exhaust rockers.

Princeking, whereabouts are you? Might be close to me, only know of a few zeds round here, never seen one tho!

now im not sure but i feel that the egr may have been already bypasssed? :detective:

the egr connectors that connect to the front bottom of plenum seem to be either clogged!? or blocked? :confused1: didnt really check as i was excited i managed to remove the plenum and to take pics to share.

im not sure as this is my first time doing this and the yellow pipes are? :helpsmilie:

egr is still in place btw.

i call upon thou for guidance and help!!

From memory, I think that's how they are. In other words I think your egr is st

ill operational. Best if someone else can confirm this, my memory isn't the best these days!

Checked an old photo, mine was the same. You can stop it working by disconnecting the solenoid, but I think completely removing it is difficult with just three plenum off.

very much so .... getting the EGR off isn't so bad its the pipe that goes to the Passenger side exhaust manifold its a pain and Rusted well ...

best thing to do is block the holes in the pipes to plenum and disconnect the vac line to the egr
